Good old fashioned elbow grease is a major element of the renovation underway at historic Causland Memorial Park near downtown Anacortes. AHS graduate Bryan Elliott, now owner of Elliott Stoneworks of Sedro-Woolley, is the contractor with responsibility for replacing all stonework on the sweeping park bench seats in the Causland “amphitheatre.” Forms in one corner illustrate how the new aggregate surface was applied. Another photo looking north shows the contrast between old and new. Work will be completed by the end of the month.
