Unique among her classmates … and most likely all other American high school graduates … was Leah Gobert, a Native American student who created her own “graduation hat” out of bark. Gobert, a member of the Anacortes High School Class of 2012, is the first member of her family to graduate from high school. Her father Louis contributed the eagle feathers.
