Members of the Salvation Army Advisory Board received great news at their meeting Wednesday morning, when Captain Beth Paugh reported a last minute flood of toy contributions. Numerous people responded to an appeal for toys this week, but most notable was Strandberg Construction. Owner Nels Strandberg worked the phone to raise an estimated $2,500, then gave his staff the afternoon off to shop. They delivered two truckloads of toys to the Salvation Army Wednesday afternoon.
