Baby meets Santa

Published December 10, 2005 / by Steve Berentson

As Mom watches on, 10-month-old Anouk Robb experiences her first delightful meeting with Santa. The occasion was a Thursday evening Grand Opening gala at the Majestic Inn and Spa in downtown Anacortes. Anouk is the daughter of Duncan and Sandi Robb of Bellingham. Santa will also be a featured guest tonight (Friday, Dec. 2) at the Community Tree Lighting event sponsored by the Anacortes Chamber of Commerce. This free event, which is great for families, takes place in front of the Chamber building at 8th and Commercial, beginning at 6 p.m.

About Steve Berentson
A fourth generation Skagit County native who was moved kicking and screaming from this island community in 1960. I finally reclaimed an Anacortes address in 1980, and I have been in constant celebration of my return since that time. Many of us who call Anacortes home love Fidalgo Island for its natural assets: among them are rugged beaches, pristine lakes, thousands of acres of forestland and some awesome views of the Skagit Valley and surrounding islands. Another element of my love affair with this community is its people, both natives and immigrants. They will “star” in many of my journal entries.
