Once again this year, Dakota Barnes of City Tree Service delivered and assisted with placement of the community Christmas tree at the Chamber of Commerce in downtown Anacortes. Others in the volunteer work party included Dakota’s son, Jesse; Don Spurling and City Councilman Brian Geer. Sidewalk supervisors included Stephanie Hamilton and Mary Talosi of the Chamber staff. Jay Field of Village Pizza donated pizza for the work crew. The beautiful tree will be decorated in time for the community tree lighting ceremony Friday, December 7 at 5:45 to 7 p.m. Bundle up the little ones and be on the lookout for Santa. The Chamber is located at 9th and Commercial Avenue.
