The exciting rumor I heard a week or so ago was confirmed today when the Anacortes American reported that Tommy Thompson’s famous narrow gauge train will return to Anacortes. Thompson’s widow, Anne, has donated this custom-built train to the city. I dug this photo from my files … Tommy’s train chugging down a temporary track laid on Commercial Avenue.
