Up early Saturday morning was Anacortes native Martin Monahan, who marks an incredible 25-year stint as the man behind installation of downtown tree lights. Martin said he gets mixed opinions from passersby: some appreciate the “holiday feel” the lights give, and others would like to see them light up town year-round.
