I was pleasantly surprised Thursday afternoon to find these two osprey perched on a power pole near the NW Career & Technical Center in downtown Anacortes. I watched for 10 minutes or so as one bird dined on a fish while the other watched in anticipation. Apparently the wait was too long, because at one point the osprey “in wait” issued a squawk and flew off. So much for sharing…
