Once again this year the Anacortes Chamber of Commerce and partners including a hardworking crew of volunteers placed Christmas lights downtown in preparation for the holiday season. Among special guests at the 2011 Port of Anacortes Community Christmas event was this larger-than-life fireman from Shell Puget Sound Refinery. This wonderful evening event, cancelled this year due to coronavirus, has become a rich holiday tradition.
