State ferries sometimes stop in Anacortes without loading or unloading a single passenger. Currently in drydock for maintenance and repairs at the Port of Anacortes is the “Cathlamet.”
Interesting activity at the Anacortes Port dock this afternoon drew several dozen onlookers as Crowley tug crews turned the state ferry Yakima around and moved it into drydock for repairs. Dakota Creek crews will work on a damaged propeller. More photos in Activities section.
