Birthday Gig

Jacob Navarro of Spoonshine performs a song during the opening half of a Friday evening concert held in birthday tribute to Heart of Anacortes co-founder Chris Terrell. Navarro was joined by fellow band member William Cook. The outdoor concert event also featured Rivertalk, and an interlude performance by Mark Clawson. Happy birthday, Chris!

Performing Saturday night at the Heart of Anacortes was local singer Lane Fernando. The Heart of Anacortes is a new 4th Street music venue offered by Mark Edson and Chris Terrell. Performing with Fernando were Skagit County musicians Steve Stolpe, Dan Duggin and Stuart Torgerson.

Sunday, Day II of the new freshwater fishing season, was a busy one, as evidenced by this scene at Heart Lake in Anacortes. Lake Erie was busy, too, as was Pass Lake. Pass is a fly-fishing lake, no boat motors.
