A brick wall on the perimeter of the Island Hospital expansion project went up Wednesday morning under blue skies and warm temperatures. I always enjoy watching someone engaged in the ancient art of bricklaying.
Crews began laying down roof panels Wednesday on the addition being constructed at Island Hospital. General contractor on the project is Lydig Construction.

Thanks in large part to a $15,000 bid for this tree, the Island Hospital Foundation grossed almost $48,000 at a Christmas tree auction held Saturday. This tree was donated by the emergency response department at Shell Puget Sound Refinery.
