Based on my casual observation of birth notices in the Sunday paper, I had concluded there were fewer babies born in Anacortes in 2020. Wrong! Once again this year, the Island Hospital Foundation is hosting a Celebration of Trees fundraising event. Visit the Port of Anacortes warehouse at the north end of Commercial Avenue to see beautifully decorated trees and wreaths. A live auction will be held Saturday evening.
