Many Anacortesans are used to seeing the “Puget” docked during the Waterfront Festival, but this week the Army Corps of Engineers vessel was here on assignment.
Architect Jeremy McNett holds a scale model of the new Port of Anacortes building that will be occupied by tenant Puget Sound Rope. A groundbreaking ceremony for the project was held Friday morning, attended by Port staff, Puget Sound Rope representatives, two port commissioners, Mayor Dean Maxwell, Chamber of Commerce Director Stephanie Hamilton and others.
