I encountered several city crews this morning on a drive to town, one of which was mowing and trimming at Causland Memorial Park on 8th Street. Rhodies are not in full bloom yet, but splashes of color like this are hints of things to come.
I know this heading sounds like a phrase from an old English poem, but the reality is we have dozens of rhododendron blossoms bursting at the seams as a combination of rain and spring sun encourage rapid growth. Unfortunately, their “cousin” the weed is thriving, too. Pleasure and pain, intertwined.
