Upland homes
Although it’s difficult to appreciate property elevation from this aerial perspective, most homes in this photo boast great views. The neighborhoods, located between 12th Avenue and city forestlands, include Rock Ridge (top, center), with the highest residential elevation lots on Fidalgo Island.
Rock crawler
This was a first in my Cap Sante experiences. This gentleman was operating a remote controlled car built for rugged terrain. His little green crawler moved up and down the rocks, sometimes at what appeared to be close to a 90 degree angle.
Park restoration
Bryan Elliott (right) and Matthew Harding were back in Anacortes this week doing restoration work at Causland Memorial Park. This is Elliott Stoneworks’ fourth major project at the landmark park in downtown Anacortes.
Schooner Zodiac
My thanks to David Jackson, who identified this boat as the schooner Zodiac, currently on a Watercolor Cruise in the San Juans.
