New to the electronic communications community is this reader board at the Salvation Army Anacortes Corps building on “R” Avenue. The new sign, installed by Anchor Signs and Awnings, provides three lines of text for messages to passersby.
The site of this former car lot on Highway 20 is for sale or lease, as is a long-time lot on Sharpes Corner just down the road. The now vacant Skagit Valley Auto Mall is located across the street from Frontier Ford.
Hmmm. I don’t know details, but this sign just went up on Highway 20 (Fidalgo side of Deception Pass) declaring “Whidbey Scenic Isle Way.” Will talk to my ranger friends at Deception Pass State Park.
My eyes have grown accustomed of late to scanning streets and byways for public art. I was at March’s Point Thursday when I noticed this beautiful “welcome” sign at the entry to T Bailey Inc.’s 40,000 square foot fabrication Plant. Everything this company creates falls under the “big” category.
By week’s end, motorists on Commercial Avenue will be dealing with a new challenge: a 15 mph roundabout at the intersection of the “spur” linking this city with Highway 20.
