Teachers honored
Kathleen Ruckdaschel was among five local teachers honored Thursday afternoon with a reception co-sponsored by the Anacortes School District and the Anacortes Education Association (AEA). Teachers get head start
All throughout the community, teachers like Didi Funk at Island View Elementary School spent time this week preparing their classrooms for students. Funk, a veteran fifth grade teacher, was conducting an “out-with-the-old” sweep of her classroom at the time this photo was taken. For more back to school photos, see Activities section.
