Progress continues

A birdseye view of progress at the Anacortes Water Treatment Plant on the Skagit River in Mount Vernon. The round foundation is for a tank, and plans call for eventual replacement of the building on the right. See www.cityofanacortes.org for more information about the project.

Launch day

Anacortes Mayor Dean Maxwell and Public Works Director Fred Buckenmeyer (right) presided over a project kickoff event Friday at the city’s Skagit River water treatment plant.
