Scott Milo celebrates local artists

Scott Milo Gallery will celebrate all Anacortes artists from October 2 to November 3, in what was to be the 98221 Studio Tour month. The gallery’s featured artist will be Keith Sorenson, whose style-abstracted fall trees fill the gallery with colors of Autumn. Also showing are copper and stainless steel, flame painted mesh by Lanny Bergner, celebration paddles by Les Eelkema, landscape oil pastels by Kathleen Faulkner, photographs on canvas by Lewis Jones and darkroom, gumoil prints by Joella Solus. There will be no reception with the artists due to Phase 2 regulations, however the gallery is open Wednesday – Saturday 11 a.m. – 5 p.m. and by appointment. The show is available, in its entirety, on the Scott Milo website (www.scottmilo.com). Please call or email the gallery with questions or to make a purchase.

Steve Berentson

About Photographer Steve Berentson

A fourth generation Skagit County native who was moved kicking and screaming from this island community in 1960. I finally reclaimed an Anacortes address in 1980, and I have been in constant celebration of my return since that time. Many of us who call Anacortes home love Fidalgo Island for its natural assets: among them are rugged beaches, pristine lakes, thousands of acres of forestland and some awesome views of the Skagit Valley and surrounding islands. Another element of my love affair with this community is its people, both natives and immigrants. They will “star” in many of my journal entries.
