Scott Milo features Wiegardt watercolors

From Nov. 6 to Dec. 1, Scott Milo Gallery presents impressionistic watercolors from Eric Wiegardt. Wiegardt offers a fresh selection of seascapes, floral and a few of his abstract series, “Tidepoint.” Also showing are new glass pieces from Lin McJunkin, large and small NW scenes in oil by Lorna Libert, abstract pastels by Kathleen Secrest, “quiet series” oils by Dederick Ward, landscape pastels by Janice Wall and metal work by blacksmith, Paul Thorne. The gallery will also feature 23 original silk encaustic paintings from Leo Osborne that were used for the illustrations in his newly released book, “The Cat and The Coracle.” There will not be a reception with the artists due to COVID-19 regulations, however the gallery is open Wednesday – Saturday 11 a.m. – 5 p.m. and by appointment. The show is available, in its entirety, on the gallery website: www.scottmilo.com.

Steve Berentson

About Photographer Steve Berentson

A fourth generation Skagit County native who was moved kicking and screaming from this island community in 1960. I finally reclaimed an Anacortes address in 1980, and I have been in constant celebration of my return since that time. Many of us who call Anacortes home love Fidalgo Island for its natural assets: among them are rugged beaches, pristine lakes, thousands of acres of forestland and some awesome views of the Skagit Valley and surrounding islands. Another element of my love affair with this community is its people, both natives and immigrants. They will “star” in many of my journal entries.
