Gallery features Currier & Schreivogl

Scott Milo Gallery will spotlight about 40 paintings by Alfred Currier and Anne Schreivogl for a two-month show from February 5-March 29. Currier presents his popular impasto oils using vibrant colors depicting scenes of the Skagit Valley. Schreivogl brings her whimsical themes of birds, pets, animals and a few figures, in addition to her collection of a dozen local small works scenes in oil. The work for this show fills the gallery with color, imagination and a great representation of abundant talent by both artists.

The gallery will not have a reception with the artists due to pandemic regulations, however it is open Wednesday – Saturday 11 am-5 pm and by appointment. For your convenience, the show is available, in its entirety, on the gallery website. Call or email the gallery with questions or to make a purchase. Sign up for email updates at www.scottmilo.com.

About Photographer Steve Berentson

A fourth generation Skagit County native who was moved kicking and screaming from this island community in 1960. I finally reclaimed an Anacortes address in 1980, and I have been in constant celebration of my return since that time. Many of us who call Anacortes home love Fidalgo Island for its natural assets: among them are rugged beaches, pristine lakes, thousands of acres of forestland and some awesome views of the Skagit Valley and surrounding islands. Another element of my love affair with this community is its people, both natives and immigrants. They will “star” in many of my journal entries.
