420 Commercial Ave., Scott Milo Gallery
The gallery features jewel toned pastel landscapes by Teresa Saia, landscapes and animals full of character in oil by Lorna Libert, photo encaustics by Kathy Hastings, impressionistic watercolors by Eric Wiegardt, bright, acrylic florals and landscapes by Jennifer Bowman and new custom tables by Gary Leake.

1010 5th Street, The Studios Above Scott Milo Gallery

Two studios above Scott Milo Gallery are open and include work by Cathy Schoenberg of Anacortes and Michael Clough of Conway. See paintings, prints and sculptures.

510 Commercial Ave., Adrift
Adrift is featuring prints and oil paintings by Diane Marr. Marr presents a collection of her seascapes and is donating profits from sales in January to AFC.

717 Commercial Ave., Ink & Wool

Ink & Wool presents paintings by Jill McDougall and PNW inspired, screen printed goods by Krysti Lacy of Sol Shine. McDougall’s paintings and mixed media pieces capture moods and moments; antique paper, old maps, and prints of found objects add a sense of impermanence and serve as a reflection of constant change and transition.

Steve Berentson

About Photographer Steve Berentson

A fourth generation Skagit County native who was moved kicking and screaming from this island community in 1960. I finally reclaimed an Anacortes address in 1980, and I have been in constant celebration of my return since that time. Many of us who call Anacortes home love Fidalgo Island for its natural assets: among them are rugged beaches, pristine lakes, thousands of acres of forestland and some awesome views of the Skagit Valley and surrounding islands. Another element of my love affair with this community is its people, both natives and immigrants. They will “star” in many of my journal entries.
