Gallery to feature watercolorist in July

You are invited to add to your holiday weekend schedule with a visit to Scott Milo Gallery as they welcome back watercolorist Peggy Woods. Woods presents new waterscapes and trees with her watercolors mounted on panels, instead of traditionally framed. Also showing are acrylics by Cynthia Richardson; abstract pastels by Kathleen Secrest; botanical watercolors by Catherine James and a collection of small plein air gouache work by Tiffanie Mang. There will be a new collection of jewelry, glass, and tables for the summer. A reception with the artists will take place Friday, July 5 6-8 p.m. The July show runs from the 5th to the 27th.

Steve Berentson

About Photographer Steve Berentson

A fourth generation Skagit County native who was moved kicking and screaming from this island community in 1960. I finally reclaimed an Anacortes address in 1980, and I have been in constant celebration of my return since that time. Many of us who call Anacortes home love Fidalgo Island for its natural assets: among them are rugged beaches, pristine lakes, thousands of acres of forestland and some awesome views of the Skagit Valley and surrounding islands. Another element of my love affair with this community is its people, both natives and immigrants. They will “star” in many of my journal entries.
