9th Annual ‘Little Gems’ show

Scott Milo Gallery will sponsor Plein Air Washington Artists from August 2-31, with an opening reception Friday, August 2 6-8 p.m. in conjunction with opening night of the Anacortes Arts Festival.
The gallery will feature a juried fine art show with 70 small works by Plein Air Washington Artists. You’ll find watercolors, mixed media, oils and pastels all of which are “Little Gems.” The juror for awards was James Kroner, an acclaimed plein air artist from California, now residing in the Northwest. Also see our new summer selection of jewelry and glass.
Scott Milo Gallery is located at 420 Commercial Avenue.

About Photographer Steve Berentson

A fourth generation Skagit County native who was moved kicking and screaming from this island community in 1960. I finally reclaimed an Anacortes address in 1980, and I have been in constant celebration of my return since that time. Many of us who call Anacortes home love Fidalgo Island for its natural assets: among them are rugged beaches, pristine lakes, thousands of acres of forestland and some awesome views of the Skagit Valley and surrounding islands. Another element of my love affair with this community is its people, both natives and immigrants. They will “star” in many of my journal entries.
