Cherry Cherry delights once again

Steve Kelly and “Cherry Cherry” told their concert crowd they love Anacortes. And it is obvious Anacortes loves them! This Neil Diamond tribute band delighted a local audience once again Friday at Seafarers’ Memorial Park. Kelly left the stage on numerous occasions to greet his audience, sometimes with microphone and song. Among special elements of the show were tributes to U.S. military, school teachers … and a tribute to the late Bob Hyde, who as Port of Anacortes Executive Director was instrumental in establishing the Summer Concert Series. There was also a special moment for Monica, invited to take the stage to join the band for a song. Kelly proved once again he is not only a talented vocalist, but a showman who loves his audience…
