Big home win for Anacortes

A November semifinal contest for the 2A Anacortes Seahawks was launched with a big win in the final home game of the season. AHS defeated West Valley of Spokane last Saturday, 55-13. As always, much of the success of the local team can be attributed to an aggressive defense — strong lines on both sides of the ball. On Saturday, November 30 Anacortes will face W.F. West, of Chehalis, another team with just one loss this season. The 3 p.m. game will take place at the Oak Harbor High School Stadium. The Hawks are eager to see a big Anacortes contingent at the game to root them on. The winner of this game moves on to the 2A championship game Dec. 7 at Husky Stadium in Seattle. Go Hawks!
