Viewpoint dedication April 16

Getting close! Barrier tapes will come down tomorrow (Friday) on the new Rotary Viewpoint at Cap Sante. An official public opening is scheduled April 16. In addition to funding this project, Anacortes Rotary members have volunteered more than 1,200 hours of work including removal of dead trees and scotch broom, both of which pose a fire threat. The road will be closed temporarily for that event but van rides to the top will be available from the Anacortes Yacht Club. Or you can hike up from the Rotary Trail at the North Basin of Cap Sante Marina. Partners on the project include Rotary, the City of Anacortes, Strandberg Construction and Pacific Landscape Architecture.
