Scott Milo Gallery June 6 artist reception

Featured at Scott Milo Gallery in June and July is Cathy Schoenberg of Anacortes. Schenberg presents an entirely new series of oils paintings featuring some of her favorite cats.  This new style is colorful, fun and lends you to create your own story about the setting.  Also showing are landscape oils by Robin Weiss; palette knife oils by Rowan Carey; regional scenes in pastel by Michael Medina and fantasy oils by Susan Cohen Thompson accompanied by her collection of ceramics. The downtown gallery also features a selection of regional jewelry, glass, sculptures, custom tables. Reception with the artists is scheduled Friday, June 6 from 6-8 p.m., in conjunction with the First Friday Artwalk.

Steve Berentson

About Photographer Steve Berentson

A fourth generation Skagit County native who was moved kicking and screaming from this island community in 1960. I finally reclaimed an Anacortes address in 1980, and I have been in constant celebration of my return since that time. Many of us who call Anacortes home love Fidalgo Island for its natural assets: among them are rugged beaches, pristine lakes, thousands of acres of forestland and some awesome views of the Skagit Valley and surrounding islands. Another element of my love affair with this community is its people, both natives and immigrants. They will “star” in many of my journal entries.
