Impressive! Great class Homecoming floats this year, on display for the community during the traditional Friday afternoon parade in downtown Anacortes. I particularly enjoyed the Senior Class float. Go Class of 2011!

Performing Saturday night at new Anacortes entertainment venue “Heart of Anacortes” was Lane Fernando. Band members included Steve Stolpe, Dan Duggin and Stuart Torgerson. About five dozen people attended the outdoor concert, hosted by Mark Edson and Chris Terrell, owners of How It Works. Several more weekend performances are scheduled in coming weeks.

Beatles cover band “Creme Tangerine” entertained a large crowd Friday, August 13 at Cap Sante Boat Haven. Many brought not only an appreciation for music, but appetites as well. In addition to picnic meals, on-site options included fire baked pizza.
