Workboat Races
Sunshine and an enthusiastic crowd served to inspire participants in the 2009 Anacortes Workboat Races. Participants in the races came in all shapes and sizes, the largest of which were Crowley tugs Response and Protector.

Once again this year, it was treasures galore in downtown Anacortes as locals and visitors scoured displays set up along Commercial Avenue for Shipwreck Day.
Aviation museum
Just a few of many exciting displays at the Evergreen Aviation Museum in McMinnville, Oregon. “King Kong” of the collection is the Howard Hughes aircraft dubbed “Spruce Goose.” In addition to aircraft, the museum boasts an inventory of spacecraft, military vehicles and firearms.
