>In partnership with my friends at How It Works, I just received a collection of 20 ready-to-hang photographs like this shot of Indian Paintbrush blossoms at Deception Pass. A “Pro Lam” treatment results in a wood-mounted, laminated enlargement that is ready to hang. Eliminated from the picture (no pun intended) are the expensive, time-intensive elements of mounting and framing. These enlargements are available in all sizes. See www.anacortestoday.com for a sampling of some of the images available from my collection, then email me or give me a call at (360) 293-4852. (P.S. This particular image is priced at $200.)
A fourth generation Skagit County native who was moved kicking and screaming from this island community in 1960. I finally reclaimed an Anacortes address in 1980, and I have been in constant celebration of my return since that time. Many of us who call Anacortes home love Fidalgo Island for its natural assets: among them are rugged beaches, pristine lakes, thousands of acres of forestland and some awesome views of the Skagit Valley and surrounding islands. Another element of my love affair with this community is its people, both natives and immigrants. They will “star” in many of my journal entries.
