Looking back to 2003: “Frank Michaud gets up at the crack of dawn … and hundreds of hungry Anacortes residents are glad he does. Frank is owner and chief baker at The Store, a business with deep roots in this community. Old timers knew the store as “Jorgie’s,” and even older timers knew it as “Brunson’s.” In addition to traditional mom and pop grocery items, The Store features the bakery, a deli, The Cellar at The Store (fine wines) and a line of Triple-Certified (shade grown, organic and bird sanctuary friendly) coffees, roasted daily to ensure freshness.” And yes, Frank is still at it, keeping his customers satisfied.
