It was a music-filled reunion this week for members of The Ripchords, a 1950s quartet familiar to many long-time Anacortes residents. The Ripchords started singing together in the early Fifties and their career included an appearance on the Arthur Godfrey show. Four original members, plus a fifth member who joined the group later, reunited at the 50th wedding anniversary celebration of member Don Coughlin and his wife, Emily. In this photo the group is pictured singing “Daddy’s Little Girl” to Coughlin’s daughter Carol and her daughter, Maleah. Members are Bill Lovins, Vernon Lewis, Don Coughlin and Dave Sater. Clayton Lacey, who joined the group after Vernon Lewis moved away, was also present and sang a few songs.
