It’s peak season for Darwin and Patti Anderson, owners of the Captain’s Place Restaurant at Cap Sante Boat Haven. Ownership of the restaurant is a lifetime dream he realized in 1987. If it’s maritime atmosphere you’re seeking, this is the place to be. Darwin, who is diabetic, features traditional seafood and low-carb, low sugar menu items. “The restaurant business is great,” he says. “I see it as inviting people into my home, my beachfront cabin. There are a lot of good restaurants in Anacortes. I look at all of us as pieces of a puzzle. We’ve been here a long time, and had a lot of fun getting to where we’re at.”
