Thursday evening was time for the 2007 Waterfront Festival poster unveiling, held this year at Burton’s jewelry and gift shop. Pictured here are Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Mitch Everton and Shell Puget Sound Refinery representative Joe Schlundt. Shell sponsors the poster each year, helping to make it possible to get the word out on the popular May 19 and 20 event. This year’s poster, conceived by Chamber Events Director Stephanie Hamilton, is reminiscent of a salmon canning label from this community’s past. Anacortes was once the Salmon Canning Capital of the World. The poster was printed by How It Works and framed by Scott Milo Gallery.
