Chamber directory

The list of benefits for Chamber of Commerce members in Anacortes just grew longer with publication this week of the 2007 Membership Directory. The 104-page booklet, published in partnership between the Chamber and the Anacortes American weekly newspaper, features business information ranging from telephone numbers and business owner names to email addresses and websites. There is a 2007 Calendar of Events and a page teeming with information ranging from emergency numbers to city government names and contact information. In addition, the book contains display advertising. Page 101 will be of interest to many, with a listing of local clubs and organizations, plus contact names. Featured photo on the cover was taken by yours truly from Cap Sante looking down on the city. If you’re a Chamber member, check the mail today for your personal copy of this exclusive publication.

About Photographer Steve Berentson

A fourth generation Skagit County native who was moved kicking and screaming from this island community in 1960. I finally reclaimed an Anacortes address in 1980, and I have been in constant celebration of my return since that time. Many of us who call Anacortes home love Fidalgo Island for its natural assets: among them are rugged beaches, pristine lakes, thousands of acres of forestland and some awesome views of the Skagit Valley and surrounding islands. Another element of my love affair with this community is its people, both natives and immigrants. They will “star” in many of my journal entries.
