Invited forward for recognition at a Skagit Land Trust “book party” Thursday night were (l. to r.) Pulitzer Prize winner Bill Dietrich, renowned author Tom Robbins and nature photographer Lee Mann. The three donated writing and photography skills in production of “Natural Skagit: A Journey from Mountains to Sea.” At the microphone is Renata Hoyle Maybruck,
Development and Communications Director for Skagit Land Trust. Dietrich is from Anacortes, Robbins from LaConner and Mann from Sedro-Woolley. The Natural Skagit book features 240 photographs and text intended to “fully profile the rich tapestry of inter-connected lands and waterways that form Skagit County.” Other Anacortes residents who played key roles in production of the book were Jan Hersey and John Tursi.
