Walking up a new boat ramp on the Guemes Channel are Anacortes Port Commissioner Steve Hopley, Port Executive Director Bob Hyde and City Council member Erica Pickett. The three participated in a Friday morning ribbon cutting held to acknowledge the “rehabilitation” of a ramp at the site formerly known as Wyman’s Marina. This event was immediately preceded by a ribbon-cutting at the “T Avenue” project a block away. The T Avenue Project was funded in part by the Community Economic Development Fund (CERB) under the state Department of Commerce. The ramp rehabilitation was funded in part by the Skagit County Economic Development Public Facility Grant tax fund.
