Mark your calendars for Saturday, June 23, when Tesoro Refinery hosts its annual 5K/10K March Point Run. The morning run also features a free children’s 1/2 mile starting at 10 a.m. This is a great event for recreational and competitive runners alike, and the company does a great job with music, lunch, memorabilia and trophies. The 5k/10k starts at 10:15 a.m. By the way, the emissions from the large stack in this photo are steam, the end product of a “scrubber” installed a few years ago for environmental protection.
