Visit Read Me a Story (store and more!) in Anacortes and you will discover a display featuring Squigz, a toy created by city resident Scott Baumann. The local inventor has many other products either on the market or in planning stages. Among them is “Chalktrail,” an attachment that makes it possible for kids to draw a chalk line behind their bicycles. Squigz, which was named Best Toy for Kids this year by the American Specialty Toys Retailing Association, features soft, flexible plastic pieces with suction cups on each end.
