Young Christopher Lindor personifies the Salvation Army mission of service to others in the name of Jesus. Today the 13-year-old volunteer was ringing the bell at Safeway, collecting donations for the Salvation Army Red Kettle campaign. Christopher, the second oldest boy in a family of eight children, is a wheelchair user and has a feeding tube and ventilator. Although he had two brain surgeries last summer and fall, almost nothing keeps this 7th grader from doing the things he loves and being part of his community. He was a loyal administrative services volunteer at the Salvation Army during summer vacation.
