Rolling out
It’s a hot corner of town, in more ways than one. Wednesday morning found temperatures climbing while construction crews continued hot asphalt work on the roundabout at the intersection of Highway 20 and Commercial Avenue. Landscaping is underway as the project draws to a close.

Hot asphalt
Crews from Lakeside Industries work Tuesday to complete the laying of asphalt around the new roundabout at the south end of Commercial Avenue in Anacortes. At the same time, other contractors are completing landscaping, curb and sidewalk work. Plans call for opening of the Highway 20 “spur” intersection Friday, July 24.
