Afternoon sun on our largest sunflower drew me to the garden. When I got there I discovered this bee, extremities coated in pollen. No matter how close I got with the camera, he stayed with the job. I’m thinking flight wasn’t an option…
It was a busy afternoon in the garden Thursday. I grabbed the camera and stalked a few busy bees working our heather bush, then chased a couple of ladybugs around. Also spent a brief time with some tent caterpillars, who lost the war.
