Rare cargo
Activity at the Port of Anacortes today included the rare delivery of a pair of columns to be installed at Shell Puget Sound Refinery this spring. The columns, delivered by ship, will be transported via crawlers from dock to plant next Friday/Saturday. These units will be used for an environmental project.

Arch project continues
Crews were at work again bright and early Thursday morning, continuing work on wooden columns for the historic archway designed to welcome visitors to downtown Anacortes.
