I stuck my head in a bucket of crabs earlier this week on the docks near the Port of Anacortes offices on the Guemes Channel. Commercial crab fishermen left Anacortes harbors early this morning on the first day of the 2003 season. Crab fishing is a generations-old way of life for a number of Anacortes families.
