Blossoms burst forth at The Depot
The eruption of spring colors has begun at The Depot in downtown Anacortes. In addition to tree blossoms, beautiful plants around the former train depot include crocuses and daffodils. Adjacent to Cap Sante Marina and the W.T. Preston sternwheeler on the Anacortes waterfront.

Floral relief
If the little garden was intended to take my mind off rising gasoline prices, it worked. In part. I photographed these crocus shoots while filling my tank this morning. The “shoot” gave me something to do other than watching alarmingly big numbers roll by on the pump.
