Seed sphere

Weather, work and other more pressing responsibilities kept me away from my lawnmower for a couple of weeks. So it was that my crop of golden dandelions turned into spheres of seeds. Beautiful, but threatening. Created to dominate (in partnerships with moss).

Beautiful, and yet…

I tell my granddaughter we enjoy the dandelion for its color … and yet this “native” threatens to dominate if allowed. I love the delicate beauty of this orb of seeds, but the fact that I am photographing them in my garden stands as evidence I am losing the battle.
