Downtown snow

Main streets and highways were bare Sunday but there was still a blanket of snow decorating the landscape. This scene was photographed from the Chamber of Commerce parking lot looking toward the New Wilson Hotel, future home of public housing.

Labor Day in Anacortes

There were more flags than people in downtown Anacortes this morning. There were a few walkers, and the doors were open at gas stations and grocery stores. Other than that, most businesses gave their employees the day off. The sun was bright … a beautiful end to an amazing summer.
