This “rural” scene featuring Canadian geese and a barn was taken in Anacortes Sunday at the intersection of 41st Street and “H” Avenue.

One goose responded to the approach of another by charging, sending the “intruder” back to shore. This action took place Sunday afternoon at the pond at The Orchards, a neighborhood near the intersection of 41st Street and Heart Lake Road. Also hanging out were ducks and at least one redwinged blackbird.
This was the scene Sunday after worship service on North Whidbey. Our new church family, “The Bridge Christian Fellowship,” meets for now in a barn located a few hundred yards from this pond.
